Villa sweet Villa

Finally, time to post something. Been busy since arriving at Villa Tibu Thursday night. Getting a little settled in and checking out the area. I will just say the place is wonderful.

So, after arriving in Medan on Monday, it was off to the hotel and then to a wonderful dinner of nasi goreng (fried rice). Then back to the hotel to sleep just like I had been flying for 24 hours (which I had). Tuesday was off to Danau Toba (Lake Toba) and spend the night in a small resort. The trip was 4 hours by mobile but it was well worth it. The place is beautiful, not a spot I think most people would consider going but should. It's worth every penny to see it and stay a night there.

Wednesday was back to Medan (another 4 hour ride) and arrived around 8:30 pm and checked in the hotel, back out for dinner, went to a club to listen to music, then back to the hotel to sleep. Woke early Thursday and went to the resturant at the hotel to have breakfast, decided to check email and good thing, they had moved the flight up one hour going to Jakarta then to Bali. That put a little rush on things, but all was good. Jakarta was a 4 hour layover anyway so time to sit and watch people walking around. The flight to Bali was delayed 25 minutes but no big deal, it arrived safely and I'm "home" now.

So the villa is wonderful as I said, I'll get pictures posted soon and update on the happenings around Villa Tibu. For now here are a few.

Checking in from Kuala Lumpur

Just landed and thought I'd give the internet a whirl again. This time it connected without a problem.
So just a post to keep my promise to update as much as I can.

Snafu or Good Thing?

Well, it wasn’t a bad trip, flights were delayed from Arkansas to Dallas, then Dallas to Las Vegas. Pretty much only time to get from one gate to the other. Got to LAX and low and behold, I become a victim of lost luggage. At first it’s like “this can’t be happening to me” then it set in. My luggage didn’t make one of the connections. So, off to the “lost luggage” desk. United can’t find it, so I trudge off for what seems 5 miles (it’s only from gates 7 to gates 4), but have you been to LAX? Anyway, it was determined that the luggage didn’t make the connection in Las Vegas from American Airlines to United. Long story short, it was a good thing, cause while I was waiting I was able to eat and not have to deal with luggage. I went back to the United luggage claim at the next flight from Las Vegas and finally the luggage shows up. So I get it and off to Tom Bradley terminal (with a $3 luggage cart that was priceless) and get checked in for my flight out. It was FOREVER it seemed, at least security was a breeze. So I’m at my gate now with 1 hour to spare. It has been a busy night since I arrived to LAX. I must say the airline personnel were very helpful and concerned. Just mark it up to travel experience. If it’s the worse that ever happens, I’m happy
Next post will be from somewhere in Indonesia.
