Talk about a lazy day. Woke up this morning to rain, and it continued to rain most of the day. So that combined with the rain curtains down made for a wonderful perfect day for napping.
Recently there have been very heavy downpours around the island. The beaches reflect this. Padang Padang for example was half washed away the other day. From Legian to Kuta, the beach was littered with debris from runoff, plus trash. For those that just toss the plastic will realize after seeing this how much plastic if floating around in the ocean. I don’t have any pictures but I would guess a good two semi truck loads of plastic debris was washed up on the sand. It was a pitiful site to see. Legian has been such a beautiful beach since I’ve lived here.
Tomorrow we are going to Padang Padang again. It’s a lovely beach, secluded and not very crowded. It’s only about a 30 minute motorbike ride and well worth it.
So, I’ll have more updates soon, along with pictures.
